Introduction

Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa, is named after the former Deputy Prime Minister of India. It was established on April 2, 2003, by the Government of Haryana. The university is located in Sirsa, Haryana, 256 km away from Delhi and 285 km away from Chandigarh.

Chaudhary Devi Lal University is set up by the Government of Haryana Act 9 of 2003. The university currently has 62 colleges affiliated with it. Currently, Prof. Ajmer Singh Malik is the vice-chancellor of the university.

Admission Process in chaudhary Devi Lal University

UG Admission

Choudhary Devi Lal University has a complete process, and if any student wants to get admission, then they must follow these steps.

CDLU offers both regular and self-financed undergraduate courses.

The application fee for the university program is 400 INR. This can be paid through digital methods.

Admission to some courses, like BTech, MTech, MBA, and LLM, will be based on an entrance test.

The candidates are required to fill out the application through the official website with the correct information to get Chaudhary Devi Laal University admission. The university required a minimum of 50% mark in graduation to get admission to PG.

PG Admission

At CDLU MTech and MBA are the top courses of University.

MTech (Master of Technology) is a PG-level engineering course that takes two years to complete. So the selected candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in the same field with a minimum of 50 percent marks.

MBA – This 2 year Programe offers students to have a degree with merit-based score. Students for this program akso required to give exams like CAT and MAT.

CDLU Library

The library at Chaudhary Devi Lal University is open from 9 AM to 5 PM without a break. The library has three reading halls with a capacity of 250 readers. The library also has access to 908 Wiley Online Journals. 

The Vivekanand Library of CDLU came into existence in 2003 and they shifted to four story building in the year 2010. All reading areas of Library are spacious and the outlook of the library is decorated with beautiful lawns. The Library of CDLU have a rich collection of publications, books, journals and newspapers.

I.T Infrastructure

Choudhary Devi Lal University has a great infrastructure. CDLU has help desks for training programs, workshops, and online admission. Students of the university can also visit the computer lab to use computers. The university boasts a well-equipped infrastructure to support academic and extracurricular activities.

CDLU Hostels

The university has a total of five hostels, three for girls and two for boys. CDLU provides a lot of facilities to their students, like electric geysers, water coolers with RO systems, and Plasma TVs along Dish/DTH. The hostel also has access to many magazines and newspapers, so students can get knowledge about current affairs too.

Transport Facility

The university has a separate waiting room for students and their families. This facility makes it easy for students to meet their family members.

Sports council

Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU) has a sports council and a department of Physical Education. The university’s sports council is located in the Multipurpose Hall and the Department of Physical Education has a well-maintained playfield.
