Admission Notice- BTech. Biotechnology 2022-23
University Institute of Engineering & Technology (UIET) was established by Maharishi Dayanand University in 2005 with objective to provide quality technical education and to undertake research in Engineering & Technology.
Presently, the institute is offering six BTech. programmes (Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Biotechnology Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering).
Biotechnology Admission in MDU 2022-23
Biotechnology is a branch of science that combines biology, agriculture, food science, and medicine. The term is now commonly used to refer to genetic engineering as well as cell and tissue culture technologies. However, the concept encompasses a broader range and history of procedures for modifying living organisms for human purposes, dating back to animal domestication, plant cultivation, and improvements to these through breeding programs that use artificial selection and hybridization.
Online applications are invited for admission to BTech. Biotechnology (40 seats) in the University Institute of Engineering & Technology (UIET) along with online registration fee (Non Refundable) as per HSTES brochure: Rs. 1000/- for General Category Rs. 700/- for All reserved category (SC/SCD/BC/PH/FF/ESM/KM/Girls).
Eligibility
For Admission in BTech. for Biotechnology Engineering : Applicants who passed the 10+2 examination with at least 45% marks (40% for SC candidates) in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as major subjects but were unable to compete in the JEE-Main Exam. The applicants’ inter-se-merit shall be calculated using the results of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. If admission is offered, the candidate will be required to submit online fee for the 1st semester Rs 37,112/- through Net Banking or Debit Card only.
